The Winning Effect

Ladies, as the New Year is upon us, it’s time to start making boss actions and I’m not saying be a boss ass bitch because we all know that’s almost every woman’s motto. I’m saying that it’s time to start taking those necessary steps to uplift yourself, to brand yourself and set a new expectation in everyone’s eyes.

•Gain a better view- Go outside of your normal siting. Branch off to areas that seem foreign to you. Meet new and aspiring people and get a feel for new passions. If you stay surrounded around the same environment, you won’t see change, therefore, it’s harder for you to grow and be more open to new things and ideas.

•Surround yourself around a different vibe- The term “Birds of a feather, flock together” is all but false. If you’re really open and receptive to change, you’ll try and get to know a different crowd. Now don’t force yourself into doing something or getting to know someone, but don’t be so quick to reject. Always keep an open mind to people and their thoughts. Don’t think that you’re above anyone or beneath them. DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF! If you continuously compare yourself or your strengths to others, it’ll impact your self-esteem. When you surround yourself in a different environment and around different people, you’ll feel a difference. The more positive the vibe, the more positive and free you feel. You’ll feel as though you have an even bigger support system, especially when they’re attempting to branch out the same as you. It’s very important that you keep people around who have your best interest at heart, people who aren’t afraid to tell you like it is, people who want to uplift you and want to see you win. Don’t make your circle any bigger than it should be. You can definitely have plugs and connections, but you always want to have a small, firm foundation.

•Set goals- It’s always good to have an idea on where you want to move forward. Set expectations for yourself and set them realistically. Don’t set too many to where it puts a strain on you and they become unachievable. You know your limits and strengths. You can push them, but not to the point to where you lose control.

•Accept the process- Trust that the process that you’re going through will lead you to better results and better places. It’s okay that everything doesn’t go as planned, but never second guess your actions unless it’s dyer. Always trust in yourself and trust the process.

•Say nothing, move loudly- Never announce your moves. It’s nice to speak it into existence, but don’t announce it to the public. Don’t let people know everything that you’re working on or any issues that’s hindering your move. There are secret haters in this world who aren’t too receptive to positive actions or growth. Always make each footstep you take loud and clear. Let people hear your ideas, your thoughts, and your creative expressions through actions. The devil loves to put a hater on the side of an angel to push them down. Don’t you dare allow it to happen by talking about things so much. Make your moves sound like giants coming to tear down the entire village. Zip your lips.

•Feel the fear, but don’t you run-Fear is your worst enemy. Telling yourself you can’t do something is the biggest internal bully anyone can have. You know your limits, now go harder, see what you can and cannot handle. It’s okay if you need a breather, that’s fine! But you better make sure that with that breather you take, you come back harder with even more ambition. Don’t be afraid to push those limits. You’ll be so happy when the success comes. You’ll be so eager to express your journey.

•Take accountability- If for any reason you fail at something or it doesn’t go the way you want it to, you can’t place the blame on others. You have to self-reflect and see where you went wrong in the mistake. Retrace your steps and see where your reasoning and actions went wrong. No one likes to be around someone who can’t own up to their actions and mistakes.

•Business is business, keep personal at home- You have to understand that when you attempt to branch out, you can’t expect any handouts just because you know a person very well. People are about their business and just because they know you doesn’t mean they’re going to do you a personal favor. Leave your emotions at the door and come in with a game face. Never let the person who you are asking for advice from see you sweat. You don’t always want to look as though you’re looking for favors or handouts, it makes you look as though you’re not taking yourself seriously and you’re not taking the work you want to do seriously.

Overall, the way you should always feel when starting off with something new is excitement. You’ll feel a little scared and you’ll feel a little overwhelmed, but trust me, if you trust that process and accept the fact that you are going to gain people who are on your level and lose people who aren’t, that excitement will grow and you will feel yourself taking the necessary steps to make yourself successful and happy. You must constantly ask yourself these questions:  Who am I around?  What are they doing for me?  What do they have me reading?  What do they have me saying?  Where do they have me going? And most importantly, What do they have me becoming?  Then ask yourself the big banger, is that okay?  Your life does not get better by chance, but by change. Nothing will change if you don’t change. It all starts with you ladies, and as you grow and conquer this world, you will place respect in areas where whenever they hear your name, they will speak highly of you.
