BRIT Awards 2011: The Nominations

Finally, the nominees for this year’s BRIT Awards were announced at the launch at the IndigO2 yesterday.

Tinie Tempah is the leading contender, as he’s shortlisted for the 4 awards: Breakthrough Act, British Male Solo Artist, British Single (for his number 1 track Pass Out) and Mastercard British Album of the Year.  He’s closely followed by Take That, who are up for the British Group and the Mastercard Album of the Year. Critic’s choice winner Jessie J is up for nomination in the category, and rooting for the US are Cee-Lo Green - who’s up for International Album and Internation Male, while International Act Katy Perry has been nominated for International Female Solo Artist and Album for Teenage Dream. Rihanna and Alicia Keys will battle it out for the International Female Solo Artist Award, and Kanye West is nominated for International Male. And for all those Glee fans, the Glee cast are up for International Breakthrough Act!

X Factor: After the show

Ever wondered what happened after the X Factor show? Yep, you’ve guessed it; they all go home lol. But the clock strikes 12 with some of them unleashing their personal style.

Paije Richardson must not have had time to change and was in high spirits (maybe he got to keep his outfit) despite being booted out of the show. When asked why he was so happy he replied ‘I’m going home!’

X-Factor LIVE: The Latest

The X Factor competition is defo hotting up. It was Beatles week and contestants attempted to covered the super group’s classic tracks

Katie Waissel sang ‘Help’ displaying a drastic new look in a bid to win over the public which must of worked because this week Shock Horror she was NOT in the bottom two. Which proved if you beg and beg and beg and change yourself to look like a cross between Peter Pan and Annie you can get through to the next round.

X Factor WildCards!

Roll up; roll up the X Factor wild cards are being revealed! It has been rumoured that Cheryl Cole is giving X Factor reject Treyc Cohen the final spot while Danni Minogue is giving John Wilding a second chance. Simon Cowell is giving Diva Fever the chance to spice up his life. As they have been the ‘chosen’ contestants. Unfortunately, Gamu wasn’t chosen.  Axed from the show and possibly, the country.

X Factor: The Final 32!

So there were sweat and tears at bootcamp this week and once again Simon and Louis were joined by the lovely Nicole Scherzinger and the final 32 contestants were picked. Surprisingly, two new groups were formed by the judges!

And the over 25’s is now changed to over 28’s! We can also reveal which judge will mentor each group.

X Factor The Latest

X Factor is in full swing and the auditions are actually getting better this week.

Even former reject Anastasia Baker, attended! Anastasia who originally applied in back in 2008 got through to the boot camp stage. However, she failed to enter the finals as her then mentor Cheryl had to let her go. This time around albeit a rocky start she kicked off her shoes and sang her own version of Adele’s song Make You Feel My Love was beautiful yet soulful. Expect to see more of her in boot camp.
